New Royal Crown My Oud

My Oud is a warm, woody, spicy scent created for Men and Women in 2012 by perfumer Antonio Visconti.

Review

This scent is a vibrant and bright woody scent. It has an intensity that comes from Burmese Oud in the top, blended with spices. A floral heart softens the intensity of a base of woods without becoming a ‘flower and wood’ scent. It can be worn to the office if applied sparingly, but is much better suited for occasions outside the office. It will work for formal occasions and evening events of any kind, and is the perfect scent for Fall, Winter, and early Spring weather. It has been compared to Montale Amber Aoud and Guerlain Vetiver. 

Inspiration

My Oud is inspired by the magic of the orient, and the enchanting aura of the Eastern world.

Notes

Burmese Oud can be felt immediately. Cardamom and Saffron are sweetened just so by Chambaka, segueing nicely into a floral heart of Damascena and Taifi Roses blended with Indian Jasmine. More Burmese Oud is found in the base of this scent, blending with earthy Patchouli, the animalic essence of Grey Amber, smoky Omani Golden Frankincense, and the Musky/Vanilla essence of Castoreum. The lighter essences soften the intensity of the woods, creating a beautiful blend that is like liquid wood on the skin.
