Purpose is a woody, spicy, earthy scent created for Men and Women in 2023 by perfumer Quentin Bisch.

Review

This scent is all woods, spices, and Incense. It is like fresh cut wood layered with a pleasing smoky nuance. If you close your eyes, it’s almost as if you’re sitting next to a bonfire that has just caught the flame with the help of twigs and moss from the woods nearby. It can be worn to the office if applied lightly, but is much better suited for spontaneous adventures, long walks in the park with someone special, early evening drinks, and romantic dinners. It could be worn in all seasons, but will be best in Fall, Winter, and early Spring. It has been compared to Lalique Encre Noire, Ganymede from Marc-Antoine Barrois, and Bois Imperial from Essential Perfumes – the last two also being Quentin Bisch creations.

Inspiration

Purpose is a spiritual awakening that lives in the mystery of the deep forest. Shamanic rituals take place over open flames. Your mind becomes clear and your purpose found. 

Notes

Bergamot adds a brightness to a spicy blend of Pink Pepper and Pimento Berry(Allspice) that slowly takes on a smoky essence as Frankincense comes in. Rose enters through the heart, adding a velvety essence to Sand Vetiver, Sandalwood, and Papyrus. Saffron keeps the spices above thriving as the base becomes dark with Suede, Mystikal(synthetic Olibanum), and Akigalawood.

Heart Notes: Rose, Sand Vetiver, Sandalwood, Papyrus
